With passion for pets, organizational talent, a degree in communications and business administration and as a responsible care taker, Karen started her mission to provide Pet Care in McLean, VA and its immediate surrounding area (22101, 22205, 22207, 22043, 22046). KSR Pet Care has officially been in business since November 17, 2008 but with many prior years of active experience.

Karen has been an active volunteer and foster parent for many years for Virginia German Shepherd Rescue, Homeward Trails Animal Rescue and Washington Humane Society, helping abandoned dogs and cats to find a new home. She decided to deepen her involvement with animals by leaving the corporate world and working for a petsitting company (2007-2008). Once the time was right to take charge of her passion, she started up KSR Pet Care. In 2012 she beame co-founder of the Mutts n Munchkins Crafty Kids Fundraiser organizing an annual event for dogs and kids, raising awareness for dogs in the community and funds for a feautured animal rescue.

At KSR Pet care, Karen works with a team of mature responsible independent contractors and an office manager who were all thoroughly screened before joining her team. The relationship with their clients is both personable and professional. Pet clients become part of the family and at the same time KSR Pet Care staff delivers highly and professionally by thinking outside the box and using experience and common sense in pet care.

KSR Pet Care's mission is to steadily grow but to start local and focuss on local clients first in order to keep the quality of service at the highest level and to be able to provide emergency and last-minute services to existing loyal clients. Since 2008, only one zip code has been added to the orginal five.

Karen lives with her husband in McLean, VA. She has four furry kids: two dogs and two cats, all rescue. There is Sally the matriarch female calico cat, Luka chowchow/keeshond mix, Lexie German shepherd and handsome Harry the junior Korat mix cat.

Brigitte aka BB comes to KSR with a lot of prior job-related experience. BB is a Dentist by education but when she moved to the USA she decided to follow her dream and passion...animals! She first got certified into Equine Sports Massage Therapy as well as Canine Massage Therapy.

BB has two grown-up children but over the years shared her home with many other 'kids': Lizards, Turtles, tortoises, hedgehogs, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, bunnies, horses, cats, dogs. While living outside Boston, Mass. in a small seaside town she founded an Animal Rescue called "Big fluffy dog Rescue of New England" and volunteered for "Almost Home Rescue of Maine" doing home visits, vet checks, transport, fostering etc. BB even started a Dog Park for her neighborhood in MA...!

Right now BB shares her home with 5 dogs: Lucky, Beagle mix, 21 years old, Buddy, Dutch Shepherd mix, 6 years old, Hansel, Golden Retriever, 5 years old, Remy,Great Pyrenese 5 years old and Blitz, German Shepherd, 1 year old.
